AHF Jamaica’s TIMELINE
transformative moments that have shaped our journey over the years.
In 2011, 394 Jamaicans died from HIV, highlighting the epidemic's severity in the country.

AHF signed a Memorandum with Jamaica's Ministry of Health, enabling it to provide HIV care as the national partner.

An estimated 30,000 Jamaicans lived with HIV, out of 2.9 million, with 1,700 new infections that year.

AHF Jamaica Medical Centre began offering HIV and STI services, including prevention, testing, treatment, and chronic care.

During COVID-19, AHF Jamaica was authorized as a vaccination site, focusing on vulnerable populations, including those with HIV.

AHF Jamaica's Vaccination Blitz vaccinated 134 individuals and integrated HIV prevention education with vaccination efforts.

By January 2022, over 3,016 individuals were registered with us, including 351 people living with HIV.

The plan empowered youth through education, life skills, and community support, aiding vulnerable and HIV-positive individuals.

The statue was unveiled in remembrance and commitment to fighting HIV/AIDS with the attendance of key partners in the National HIV Response.
